I didn’t need another GE course, but my History was so extremely poor that I knew that it was necessary for me to revisit much of the material that was covered here.\u00a0 Around this time I had gotten into Sid Meier’s Civilization III, a fantastic computer game that some might say is to chess what chess is to checkers, and its incorporation of historical writings into the game’s presentation constantly reminded me how little I knew about the characters and cultures that it features.\u00a0 Realizing that this was going to be my last opportunity to take a History course for a while, I went for it.<\/p>\n
