My experiences with lower division laboratories have shown me that they are very chaotic.\u00a0 You are trying to get a certain number of things done, you barely have enough time, and you are stuck with a partner who, being equally confused, does nothing but contribute to the overall sense of confusion.\u00a0 This was the first laboratory where my partner was conducting the same experiment as me, but doing so in his own separate space with his own equipment.\u00a0 This simple change greatly improved the lab experience, allowing me to get much more out of the work I was doing.<\/p>\n
During this course I actually started to look forward to lab for the first time, which had never happened before and would only happen again in the second semester of this course.<\/p>\n
