I hope yall enjoyed the site i put up. It was a bit unusual i thought. Nope, nothing else has happend in the life of SINGE. I know that you ppl are checking back on the page and that is a good thing. I want everbody to gear up for prac on wednesday. We have not Played together in sometime. This concenrns me. The integrity of the clan is in question. I know that i have officaly posted that practise is on wednesday. So lets get some of our shit together and play like a freaking clan.

Ghidra's back. I had all kinds of things to do over Thanksgiving break so I was left with the responsibility of placing Bash in charge of the web site and daily news. He did a fairly good job, except for that inappropriate link in the other day's news. That was a little much. Anywho, thanks bud for a job well done.
Since our site was established at our current address, I have so graciously bestowed upon each member web space so each of you can build your own little nook in the Internet community. If you need assistance with the site setup or have pages ready to go online then just let me know...

I have been rather upset about the turn quake.one.net has been taking. It has lost that good ol'loving feel to it that I enjoyed so much. It's too bad that most of the newbies to the one.net gaming community have been ruining it for those who enjoy playing there. So, because of this, I am suggesting that Singe starts visiting new servers; at least until people at one.net calm down and realize that a game is more enjoyable when players are respectful to one another. All it takes is some form of clarity to see that those who spend their time ruining games aren't accomplishing anything by doing so.

I have been playing a lot of Clan Ring Deathmatch lately at dz9.com. The players there are awesome. It is a good learning experience to go there and watch the players do what they do (over and over again until your dead).
The Darklords of SITH have a new quake server. It's a lot like one.net but runs on a much faster connection. Most of its games are like one.net except extra ports includes Clanring Deathmatch and CTF.
kitty1.stanford.edu is standard Deathmatch. Again, the players there are really excellent. Don't expect to win much, but do expect to learn a lot.

Hopefully most of you have heard that Quake II is coming out on Tuesday the 9th. For celebration of this monolithic event, I have promised Id Software that I will march around my town wearing nothing but speedos and "Quake II is Out!" painted all over chest and back. A malicious mob of Id's followers will been assigned to protect me in the case that any of the local policemen try and stop me. So now I must wait and prepare for that day to come.... I'm so excited.... Patience is not my favorite form of practice....

Singe has an upcoming match versus Infinity Killaz. They seem like they will be a great clan to match against. A possible alliance is being considered.
Much thanks to Reticle of the Darklords of SITH. He gave us a lot of pointers at the practice on Wednesday. Stuff that is very good to know. Stuff that everyone in the clan should know. Stuff that only three of the clan members currently know because the other 5 weren't at practice! Ahem....
Christmas is just around the corner and Singe is still waiting for someone to give us money to buy a T3 line. If you bought us one, we'd like you and let you play with us. Woo Hoo!

Oh boy! One more day till Quake 2 comes out. I'm so excited. Bad news though guys, all of the piraters in our clan won't be able to download Quake 2. It needs the CD. That sucks because most of our clan members are big cheap skates; especially Willard. He's so cheap that he still shaves with one of those barber hacksaw deals from the 20's. He refuses to buy new razors because supposedly they do the job the same and why spend more money? Qdog likes to peel the 2-play toilet paper apart so he can get more wipe for his buck. And to top it all off, Aidan likes to spend his Sundays cutting coupons out of his newspapers. Well, all I can say about this is "Leave it up to Quake to bring such strange and diverse people into contact with little ol' me." Singe is full of desperate losers! Help us!
Oh yah, almost forgot, Sophisto isn't a cheap ass. He makes 62k a year baby! (He kinda likes to rub that in.... I think something is wrong with him)

This was so cool because it was almost like a match, except the other team wasn't a clan. No one interfered the entire time which allowed a great, 3 on 3 scrimmage. Singe started off slowly, but really put things together at the end. I was extremely pleased with Aidan and Willard's skills. They really pulled through when it mattered. Other Singe members really missed out. This was a treat.
Let's make an effort to get more Singe members at the practices. Unfortunitely, this was one of the last times that Aidan will be playing with us. He leaves for his trip to Italy on the 12th of this month (he will be gone for 6 months). Having two people at practices won't cut it. We need more guys around. If you don't come then I'll be forced to act like the clan's mother again until you do. I know how much you all hate that!
Oh yah, I guess I should put this in the news (since it is kind of a big deal), Quake II comes out today.

Holy #&%$ing Moley! Planet Quake recently opened up a Quake II developer Email list. There are different categories to choose from. Well, I signed up in three of them (map building, coding, and web development) so I would be able to know what's going on in the underground development with Quake II. Well, I came home to see if any of my bastard clan members sent me email and my email client read "Retrieving Message 1 of 108." Of course I thought "Wow, I'm Somebody!" but that was only at first. Then I thought someone email bombed me. Then I found out it was from this damn mailing list. FOR HEAVEN'S GATE.... err, I mean SAKE!! DON'T SIGN UP FOR IT!! It's only purposeful if you have countless hours of the day to spend reading all that crap. It's a great idea, but needs some reworking.
The match versus Infinity Killaz has been scheduled into the books. Check out the Capture the Flag log in our Statistics area for the juicy stuff.

I came across a quaint little 32 player Quake tournament in the works. It's being set up by this crazy chick called the Prozac Queen. If anyone is interested, then follow the link below (Please don't join. I wouldn't want any of you guys making a fool of our clan).
Aside from that I've got good and bad news. Good news first since everyone loves good news and because the bad news won't make sense until you hear the good news. I finally got a hard drive. I bought a fat freakin' 3.5 GB Ultra DMA Maxtor baby! FINALLY! NO MORE QUAKE OFF OF THE ZIP DRIVE! (My system had a 124 MB Hard drive prior to this upgrade). But, for some reason my modem has been getting horrible pings since I reinstalled all my junk. I'm always in the 1000+ category. It's a good thing my new modem will be coming soon (thanks Q).

Damn. We've lost Aidan. He's gone for the next 6 months. For those of you who got to talk to him before he left he was taking souvenier requests. Willard asked him for a foxy italian woman; he didn't get it though because Aidan asked me first. I can't wait till he gets back with my italian love goddess. It's a good thing I love spaghetti!
I called Aidan Friday afternoon to say goodbye. But alas, he had already departed. I did get to talk to his wife and I am proud to announce that Mrs. Aidan [SC] will be playing for Aidan until he returns. This is pretty cool. Now Singe finally has a female to direct all of our inappropriate comments at. We used to do it to Bash's mother, but she wasn't too pleased about it. I'm not sure why. I guess she dosen't have much of a sense of humor for that sort of thing.
In other news... I am avidly awaiting the arrival of my new modem. I am convinced that after I get it, I will do better at Quake thus increasing my chances to score with chicks. Women definetily dig guys who win at Quake!

Well, I got this new modem and I have been winning a game here and there. It's kind of a strange feeling to win. You get all those great guys who sit there and tell you what you're doing wrong the whole time. This one guy says to me "Jeez' Ghidra, you have horrible aim!" So far I am completely agreeing with this guy's point, but then he says "I was standing still that whole time and it took you 5 rockets to even hit me." Ok bud, I'm not the one who has the freaking problem here. If someone is shooting at me, I don't sit there keeping track of how many missles it takes to be hit and killed. However, I do shoot the bastard as many times as I can while he's still standing. Hey, I may have horrible aim, but I don't give up.
For those of you who haven't seen the movie Austin Powers, you're really missing out. This is the most shaggadelic movie at the rental stores right now. I was particularly impressed by seeing how much chest hair Mike Myers has grown since Wayne's World 2.

For some reason, when I'm playing CTF, I have the feeling that everyone on the other team is ganging up on me and me only, attempting to block every path I have to get a Rocket Launcher. Every time I walk around a corner I see my little Quake character's life flash before my eyes. It is quite a traumatizing, reocurring event. So, to null their efforts, I have started sexually harrassing every Quake player on the other team. The idea is that I do this until they get upset and leave the server. Unfortunately, my strategy hasn't been as effective as I planned. Many enjoy it and then ask me to join them in IRC afterwards. There are a lot of strange people one the Internet....

I've begun my trip into programming land. Since my clan sucks and never talks to me (I think it's because I sound like a ninny), I have decided to start learning Visual Basic. Oooh!!! Ahhh!!! I know what you are thinking "Why does Ghidra want to learn the almighty and powerful Visual Basic?" Well, it's because HTML is the most boring thing to program in the world (and I don't even consider it programming).
My first project is a Cindy Crawford web browser. Oh yah... I forget this is clan news. To my knowledge Gravedancer, Sophisto, Wookie, and Q are all out of town and Aidan is still in Italy (only 26 weeks till he comes back). Let's see, that leaves us with one... two... three....... three Singe members left. WOW!! That's the most we've had in a while.

'Twas the night before christmas, and all through the house, nothing was stirring, not even a... wait, how does that go?
Oops, don't think that rhymed. Ah well. I actually have some meaningful information to put in the news today. First, Bash kind of has his web page going at http://singeclan.slipgate.net/basher/. It may not be ready, but he's put news in it so I guess that he wants people to start seeing his completely inappropriate humor. Bash is the only man who really scares me. It could be because he is so disgusting at times that it freaks me out. There are tons of disgusting people out there but what makes Bash different is that all of his comments and stories are based on experience. He has some serious problems....
And second... I've played Quake 2. The opening cinematics are the coolest thing I've ever seen in a game. Other than that, I haven't gotten involved enough to judge it; and I won't either. Since it's likely that everyone in the known universe will find something wrong with what I say. Makes me cry. I'm going to wallow in my self-misery.

Ok guys (and regular visitors), I've been getting kinda wrapped up in all this time off that I haven't been giving the web site much, if any, attention. All I can say for an excuse is that "I'm just bein' a kid" so I don't want any lip from any of ya! Anywho, I have some site plans brewing in my mind, but I haven't done anything yet 'cause the motivation just isn't there. So, for maybe a week or so, site updates will be minimal, but things will start going again here soon. Either that or I'll start working for my prozac dealer so I can get more money and buy my family that damn health insurance. And "NO WILLARD" I will not give your mom a free bottle of meds; so don't ask!
Well, I hope you all had a good Christmas. I got almost everything I wanted. Santa forgot to give me a picture of Bash in a pair of speedos. That was kinda disapointing. Ah well, maybe next year when he thinks I'm old enough.
