"I'll keep you floatin' on your feet so you feel alive, but you're really asleep... Who? You!"

Hello, and welcome to ChadSpace! Before you get too comfortable, please know that this place is still a little rough around the edges. But all good things take time to prepare and this site will not be an exception to the rule! What you see before you is simply the conceptual layout and design of ChadSpace and not much more. It won't take long for you to notice that links do not work, pages frequently will not load, and there is a somewhat obvious dearth of content in every corner you happen to poke your little eyes toward.

Essentially, ChadSpace is just another "center of the universe" site. Like the millions of MySpace/Blogger pages that have assaulted the Internet in the last couple of years, this is my own ridiculous entry into the foray. However, I tend to look at these other ME-sites with a deserved malcontent, and these sensibilities will most certainly echo throughout the writings on ChadSpace that spring up, little by little, over the course of the next few weeks and months.

Believe it or not, this site's primary purpose is not to declare to the rest of the world just how utterly interesting and fascinating I am. Besides, why would you want to read about me when you can read about the billions of other interesting and fascinating people that already exist on the net? You know... the types that spend countless hours decorating their ME-sites with flashing stars and dancing text? Don't forget about those ceasure-inducing blinking white letterings on dark-blue backgrounds. You love these types of people; admit it.

No, the primary purpose of ChadSpace is really to provide me, Chad Philip, with an outlet to tinker with web technologies that happen to grab my attention. And honestly, at this point I do not foresee it ever becoming much more than that. However, I have been known to post some humorous musings in my day, and if this site proves to be a viable (and fun) avenue for me to kickstart that habit again, then so be it.

So please check back frequently. Fun things are most certainly a-coming -- don't be the one who misses out!

    Important Person's Blurbs
About me:
I was born under a bad sign. While the moon waned and wolves howled a faint light shined upon a small awning of trees within a lonely forest. There I lay, surrounded by furtive noises in the night, not knowing why I was here and what my purpose was to be. I raised my head slightly and looked upwards toward the night-sky. I felt disenchanted with my existence; estranged even. It was as if something that had once been so familiar and unfailing had been stripped of my being and nearly erased from all awareness.

As I stood I noticed the soil and leaves shape themselves around me. This was power, something that I had felt and seen before. It was familiar, unlike the forgotten memories that somehow lingered out of reach within my consciousness. Walking beneath a canopy of trees I felt the kiss of a cold winter's night along my brow. I looked down at myself: I was clothed. I had not noticed this before. Whatever power had smote me unto this strange land had not done so leaving me completely unprepared. I also had hair, something that was uncommon for one of my kind. Had I been left here to die? It was possible, but also unlikely. Where was "here" anyway? Coming to an ice covered pond I looked downward in search of the truth. My reflection beamed back characteristics that surprised, yet intrigued me: a crooked smile, sharp eyes, a round and benignly charismatic face. This was what I had become...

Standing there, alone, I looked across this new world that was laid before me and thought to myself: "I wonder where I can get some nachos..?"

Who I'd like to meet:
Strangely enough, I am fascinated by people and characters who have either passed-on or never really existed in the first place. I have found more intelligence and wisdom in Bugs Bunny than the majority of people I've met in real life. What does this say about me? Maybe I don't get out of the house much? Possibly, but you might also flip that around and say that I enjoy meeting animated people (har har). Whether this occurs through a person's actions, work, or decisions, there are an infinite number of things that I find intriguing in the world and I enjoy discovering these consistencies within others. Besides, to say that I have not met and/or been influenced by some truly intelligent, kind and inspiring people would be quite incorrect. Some of them just happen to be drawn on paper and are filed within the "Fiction" section of your local library.
Isn't This Interesting? Isn't This Person Fascinating? Yes / No / Go to Hell

Cool site, man. Hey, would you let me try out your strat the next time we bump into each other?
Winnie the Pooh
Oh, bother! Chad, we are looking for Eeyore. Have you, perchance, seen him at all today?
Samus Aran
.....
Stevie Ray Vaughan
You say that you got to sound like that by playing heavy metal music and using heavier strings? I don't believe you. Give me at least a little credit, man.
Spiderman
Yes, you're right. It is definitely not as comfortable as it looks. Most people don't have the foggiest idea of the sacrifices I have to make every time I put this confounded thing on.
