Obligatory Sather Gate picture with the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) group at CalSO. I am now officially an “eek”, which I guess is like a geek but more prestigious and exotic because of the missing “g”. I believe that an “eek” (which is a variant spelling of the scientifically accepted “eec”) is one who belongs to a group of eeks..? I’m still trying to figure all of this stuff out–it’s Berkeley so you know it must be absurdly complicated.

This particular CalSO event was the UC Berkeley student orientation for transfer students from community colleges.
