MATH4B — Differential Equations
My favorite Mathematics course thus far. Some of the methods and procedures for solving differential equations get quite intense. We covered all kinds of challenging material but were at the same time barely scratching the surface of what these things can represent. The curriculum was also uncommonly strong, with new concepts generally related to and being reinforced by material that was previously covered. Unfortunately you have to be Mathematics major in order to keep going with this stuff: there are a couple of prerequisite upper division classes that must be completed before one gets continue this material in the Mathematics major-focused Ordinary Differential Equations or Partial Differential Equations courses.
As a sidenote, I burned through a truly alarming amount of scratch paper as I worked my way through this course and subsequently decided that math classes cannot be good for the environment.
